What we do
We maintain and improve machines and processes. In many cases, our panel wiring and updating expertise improves both performance and safety.
We supply and install HEIDENHAIN readout systems on a wide range of machine tools. We can also supply rotary and angle encoders, digital height gauges and metrology equipment from this class-leading range.
A Fagor retrofit can give a machine with an outdated controller a new lease of life, for less than the cost of replacing the machine. We survey and quote for CNC and panel wiring upgrades, then carry out wiring and commissioning on site.
We supply thyristor power controllers from 30A to 2700A and up to 690Vac, in 1, 2 or 3 phase formats for demanding electrical heating applications. Our motor soft starts give 3 phase AC motors a smooth start-up, reducing electrical stress and mechanical judder and cutting running costs.

Established in 2002, Industrial Machine Services Ltd provides breakdown service and support to a wide range of industries. We started in the metalcutting sector and have since grown into woodworking, metal forming and process control.
From our central base in Milton Keynes, we offer a 24-hour response with engineers on site nationwide. In 2007 we were appointed official HEIDENHAIN sales and service distributors for the Home Counties, with exclusive sales of HEIDENHAIN Digital Readout. More recently, we formed a technical partnership with CD Automation.
